Middlesex-London Paramedic Services
"My name is Sean Hill and I’ve been a paramedic for 19 years. After graduating from Centennial College in 1999 I’ve had the opportunity to work in various positions for several different services before landing my current role is a Superintendent of Operation with Middlesex London Paramedic Service. MLPS is a continuously growing service which is extremely aggressive with AED placement in the community. For this reason we currently lead the region in cardiac arrests saves.
With a significant lack of coordination and absolutely no dance experience this is something that’s completely out of my comfort zone. In dealing with the constant stressors of the job this will be an amazing experience and a chance to let my hair down and have some fun with a great group of people while supporting an amazing cause."
Registered Nurse &
Emergency Response Unit L&D Delegate
"My name is Joanna Stepien. I have been nursing for the last 9 years. My nursing career started here in London where I worked with patients post Burns, Plastic, Thoracic, ENT, Urology, and Neurosurgeries. My career quickly took me to the West Coast of Canada where I found my passion for Perinatal nursing. I have now been a Labour and Delivery nurse for 8 years and still love every moment. I am also a Perinatal Nurse Delegate with the Canadian Red Cross as part of their Emergency Response Unit. Being part of this team, I have the opportunity and responsibility to provide critical health services and essential care to women and their children in times of natural disasters and emergencies. 3 years ago, I went to my first Dancing with the Stars Fundraiser and had an amazing time. I think this event is for such a great cause and I now make a point to be involved every year. So here I am, jumping in with both feet and I am so excited for this opportunity to be part of the event on a completely new level. Lets hope I don’t have 2 left feet."
